I saw on Asus' webpage that the CPU range for the P3V4X is 233-733+MHZ. What is the max? Does 733+mhz mean that I can put a 800 or 900mhz chip on it? Thanks.

It should be able to handle just about any slot 1 PIII you put on it. I had one running a PIII 700@933 without any problems.

that is not an issue. it support up to 1ghz, and there re no higher p3 cpus. anyway who uses slot-1?
i though most use fc-pga witha slotket (i like the iwill one), so the question is what cpu does the slotket support. which is still 1ghz. IMHO it will not support tualatin (0.13 micron low voltage p3) so there is no issue. now if there will be a slotket which will suppport mBGA and low voltage conversion, and asus will make a bios for it, that will be great, you ould potentialy extend the life of your rig with a relatively cheap upgrade (to say a 1.5Ghz p3?)
