I seem to recall the Maryland school performance assessment tests (Not grading the students, GRADING THE FVCKING SCHOOLS) were 1 fvcking week long and took all day every day. So 32.5 hours. They were administered 3 times to my bunch, 3rd, 5th and 8th grades. They've since switched to much less grueling tests that are engineered towards No Child Left Behind rather than the state's own realistic programs.

I think. I havn't taken them since 8th grade, but that torture sounds familiar.

2+ hour simulator ride with FAA
15 minute flight with FAA so you can go through the motions

cool! what turbojets require FEs these days?

727's (which I flew), 747's, DC10's, Airbus (early models), and dc 8's. Most airlines are retiring them and they are being used as charter and cargo Still tons of DC8's flying every night and those things are old.

Any number of finals - 3 hours long. However, there are sometimes that we end up with 3 finals in a day. Freshman year I had a Calculus, History, and French final exam all in the same day. That was quite a work out.

Unless it's changing in the future, USMLE Step 3 is two days long, 8 hours a day. I just took it a month ago.

Simulated bar exam.

Why would you take a "simulated bar exam"?

For me, the actual California bar (3 days) was the longest test I've taken, although it was nothing special from the degree-of-difficulty standpoint compared to law-school tests.

Not for school but for a high level executive position.

The corporation sent me to a testing outfit and the test was from 8 in the morning until 5 P.M.

I got the job and ended up hating it.

you don' t need 2 1/2 days to prove you are certified pain in the ass.

You're right, took my wife about 5 minutes to prove that. :p

edit: prove that I'm a pita, not her. I suck at the wit.

Are you taking the Mississippi PE? I thought that all the states converted to multiple choice. I'm next door (Loozeriana) and get to take the PE next fall (Civil).

It was a chance to gauge where I was in terms of passing the bar and what I needed to work on. It was really helpful.

Yup, I'm taking the MS PE exam in the fall. I thought most states had converted to the NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying), which was a multiple choice test.

However, you've still to show your work.

I had four comprehensive exams in grad school that were like this. One of them we had to handwrite and I really screwed up my hand because I was not use to writing so much.

Final... prolly 3 hrs. I took a math contest exam that was 6 hrs though. Got myself invited to a math camp for the summer with that one and as a result it was the last math contest I ever did.

Yeah, but three days? Was it the "Baby Bar" in California (for people at non-ABA-accredited law schools? That's the only context in which I've ever heard of a practice bar, and even that one is shorter than 3 days, I think. I did a lot of sample questions in BarBri, but it wasn't in one long string like that.
