What is the limit on importing alcohol?

I'm traveling to Jamaica in a week and a half and was wondering what the limit was on how many bottles I could bring back to the US. Does anyone know?

 
Lie, it is easy to smugle in food and drinks. I know I have done this type of thing before. I have been able to bring things like Chicken, Pork, Plants, and fruits past customers. Even post 911 I was able to do this. Some of the items they don't let in are just dumb.
 
I read the 1L thing and it said any more would be charged duties. Anyone know how much they charge or if it would even be worth it?
