I doubt there has ever been a time when it was raining or snowing on the entire country, but I am interested to know how much of the country has been rained/snowed on at one time? I am unable to find this at any meteorolgy sites.

It's not impossible for the weather to be rainy in all 48 states at once, in fact, I'd say it's very possible.

I think it's 100% because the news makes a big deal about it and I remember hearing it once as a kid...

Yea, it's very possible for there to be rain in each state, I misunderstood the message body for "raining everwhere" :p

Sorry, I mean total coverage for the continental Unitied States. I put the 48 state thing in there to exclude Hawaii and Alaska.

I dont think that would be possible for it to cover the ENTIRE U.S in Rain. That would be one hell of a low pressure system.

Right, I know it is almost impossible for the entire country to be getting rained on at once, that is why I am trying to figure out what the closest has been.
