I can't remember what I should set the cache for 900 and above. I have an 850 and am going to overclock it tonite. So I need help with what to set the cache to.
I don't think there's any setting that you would need to go around with the L2 cache. The only setting I can find concerning the L2 cache is in the bios and it's either disabling it or disabling the ECC.
Set it to 1/3. There is basically no difference between 1/3 and 2/5. If you're lucky, the cache chips can handle 450mhz. But it's doubtful since they are 3.3-3.6ns(300-340mhz) parts.
I think your somewhat wrong Spoooon, I have a Athlon 700(900 core) has 2.8ns cache meaning a max of about 360Mhz and yet its running at 425Mhz right now.
stockjock, I would try 2/5 first, if you get to many crashs ot lockups then go to 1/3....
