I concur. The 427 Cobra is head and shoulders above anything else ever made. Another of my personal favorites, The Boss 429 .

My current favorite is the new Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, but for an "all time" moniker I would also pick the Chevrolet Corvette.

I have to stick with what has been my favorite ever since I read about it in the late 1980's, the RUF Porsche Turbo (aka the "Yellow Bird"). All the greatness of the Porsche Turbo and 211 mph too. RUF modified Porsches have always topped my short list of "things I will buy when I become a billionaire".

Ferrari comes close, but they don't have a model that has as much heritage. The F50 is nice.
