The aim reason technology has is to give us what we want. To fufill our desires. If it doesnt give us something we want, we wont buy it, and it wont be a successful technology.

Want to be warm in the winter? Buy clothes. Want your blind ass to see again? Buy glasses. Want to talk to your friend whos halfway around the globe while you walk down the street? Get a cell phone.

Eventually technology may be able to give us nearly whatever we want, whenever we want it. Is this is a good thing? I dunno. The thing about humans, is that their psychology doesnt allow them to be totally ever 100% satisfied for any extended period of time.

We develop technology because we always strive to improve what we have. That's the best answer I can come up with.
