I know that the main resolution for most monitors is 1920 x 1200 for PC monitors. I just want to know has the resolution for 4k PC monitors been set? And if so could someone tell me what the exact resolution is for it please?

I have 18 megapixel photographs (5,184 × 3,456) and want to down scale my photographs so I can make some 4K ready photographs.

It appears not to be as simple as one would expect, considering there's supposed to be a "standard". HERE'S a list of 4K monitors and projectors. While 3840*2160 is the most common, it's not the only format.

3840x2160 is the standard resolution for 4k displays. Same 16:9 aspect ratio has 1080p, but 4x the pixels.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll wait a while and see what becomes the average standard res for 4k pc monitors.
