Thanx Gizmo2,
The salesman said the silicone base compound conducts electricity? Could that damage my CPU or any other component? What do you think of the RS paste, work well?

I've been using it for over a year and have never had a problem with it, I think it works extremely well.
It's on my Celeron 2 533 @ 800mhz
If it does conduct electricity, just make sure you don't get any of it into the pin holes on your slocket.
Just be carefull applying it and you shouldn't have any problems.

I'm usin it right now. It's some decent stuff. way better than with those pads or nothing at all. and it's easy to find.

the RS salesmans don't know didley squat. RS paste is a silicon based zinc-oxide compound. theres nothing in it to conduct electricity, unlike some high performance paste like arctic silver and stuff.

Though I wouldn't mind exchanging my RS paste for some high performance stuff.
