My dad loves to take pix, has a gazillion digital pix, but has no idea how to shrink them so they can be attached to emails.

I'm looking for the easiest way to take big photos and make small copies suitable for emailing. A 1-click MakeSmallCopies.exe would be nice. I'm not looking for the obvious instructions on how to resize photos, but the absolute easiest way to do it with the least amount of steps.

Also, which photo sharing site is easiest? Do they auto resize the photos you upload? That could be part of a solution.

Thanks

Once I got Picasa from google (free too!) my only other photo need is Photo elements rarely. Here's the picasa link ... check it out on your machine then hook him up. http://picasa.google.com/features/index.html

I use Picasa for 98% of my photo needs now. It creates albums for your existing photos using pointers. After it's installed it will easily do the following; 98% of your edits, edits don't change original, imports from camera or flash card, prints selected group, exports selected photos (resized if you wish) to the folder you create, resizes for e-mail and opens your e-mail program with the attachments in it, prints to your selected size, and squeezes the photos on your selected paper size.

It has a free share photo button and service (?1GB limit last I checked) also with google as the host, but I haven't used that yet. The idea is to upload a smaller version of your pics (one or two clicks) and e-mail the URL to everyone you want to have them.

As you can tell, I like the program. I'm 61 (old guy) and the users I know include an 8 year old and a blonde model.

Doesn't windows do this for you when you right-click and select send to + email.. ?

Or are you looking for the easiest of some more complicated methods?
