I Know some of you will say Notepad, but it's not the answer I'm looking for :)

I have never done it before and have never written any HTML whatsoever, so I'd appreciate some guidance. I have Dreamwever that someone bought for me and I also have Adobe GoLive 6, which looks a tad daunting.

What other software have you ppl used with success?

Cheers. ;)

If you already have Dreamweaver you may as well learn how to use that.

It would also help you a lot to get a book about HTML from the library. You'll need to know some to do anything worthwhile.

I think Dreamweaver and GoLive are both fairly easy to use. If you have experience formatting documents in software like Microsoft Word, then you should be able to pick it up pretty easily. Just play around with it for a little bit.

I use Arachnophilia to create my web pages and is a free HTML editor. I has helped me to learn HTML in the process and was even recommended by a friend (he orignally started with it) and has been easy to use. I am still using 4.0 tho there is now a 5.1 version out.

Thanx for the replies ppl.... I'll look at the two that were recommended but it's likely I'll try to use the two I have at the moment. Now, think I better get me some books.... ;)

Dreamweaver. Very powerful, and as long as you figure out how the Property inspector works....very easy.
