What is the difference in meatloaf and salisbury steak?

Meatloaf is hamburger, bread crumbs, eggs, onions, bell peppers, milk, and whatever else you want to put in it.

Salisbury steak is mystery meat.

They're the same thing, the difference is the shape. Salisbury steak is cooked in a patty, meat loaf is a loaf.

Salisbury steak is just hamburger.. or originally was. They called it that because hamburger was German and Germans were evil.
