What is the difference between these two Opterons?

If I order using my credit card and they do not deliver what they promise, I just call my credit card company and block the payment. Isn't that enough to cover me?

Opterons are in high demand and low supply. The ones selling them for a reasonable price go out of stock very fast. I can't believe the atacom one appears to be in stock still. I really want a Opty 146 but if I wait a couple of weeks I bet the Opty craze will be extinct cept for those getting the last of 'em. Damn.

And yeah, to the above: :Q

you should check with your bank first about your card. they may have some form of charge they do or a "first time free" deal so be sure to know if you'll be penalized in any way. if the 1st post mentions the site stating when it's "In stock" when it really isn't though, i'd stay away.

there's a 200MHz difference between the two i believe btw

Both advertise 2.0ghz

i ordered a 146 from excaliberpc which has good reseller ratings, everything looked go and in stock. even my invoice which i checked every day said it was ready to go. then, about 3 days after i ordered, they cancelled my order due to out of stock. so be alert, they may just keep telling you the cpus are on eternal back order.

i ended up getting a 144 from tankguyz.biz and received it today. running on it as i type 🙂 nice cpu, in super pi @ 1M it is equal to my p4@3GHz and @ 2M it is about 7-10seconds faster, at the 144s stock speed of 1.8GHz.

just installed the power now feature to try to cool my computer room down in the summer. between this new machine and a lcd, maybe i can drop my summer temps 5F in here....as they are usually 85+
