i am looking into getting Norton SystemWorks 2001 Professional Edition and they also have Norton SystemWorks 2001 standard edition, after looking at the description one seems to be geared to small buisness and advanced users...to me the kicker is they don't seem to have anything different between them.....

so if you have either of these I would appeaciate it if you could give me some feed back as to how good this software is for you

thanks

Well, these packages are basically identical. They both contain Norton AntiVirus, Utilities, CleanSweep and Web Service. The difference is that the Professional version ALSO contains Norton Ghost and Norton WinFax Basic. Go to Symantec to read more about those two products to see if you need them.

Personally, I think Norton AntiVirus is the best anti-virus product on the market, but the rest of their utilities I can do without. Norton Utilities gave me more trouble than help and the other stuff is "fluff" to me. I recommend saving your money, just getting Norton AntiVirus and forgetting this package.

There is a lot of "fluff" in Norton stuff, but I personally like Cleansweep and Norton Internet Security (is Norton Antivirus and a software firewall, along with a net nanny type proggy). And lots of people love Ghost, but I rarely use it.

The professional edition includes Ghost. I believe it is a must have to back up your system and the newest one will burn to bootable CDR without having to do anything special. The Professional Edition can be had online for less than $20.00 if you search the forums.
