What is the difference between these two cards?

if you are just doing 2d, get whatever is cheaper, though i think if you wil lbe doing 1080p h.264, the video card has something to do with it. I had a geforce2 ti same syastem and 720p was smooth but 1080p would skip like crazy. Now i have a 9800xt and 1080p is smooth
 
go to windows media and download some hd video clips. breathtaking. I play it on ym hdtv(second monitro) and it looks spectacular, that normal tv looks like utter crap(like the difference between tyra banks and rosie o donnell)
