What is the difference between the Abit KT7E and the KT7A???

one is KT133E northbridge, another one is KT133A.

you should able to see the difference from abit homepage product spec,
and from via homepage chipset spec.

Another thing, the KT133E does not have official support of the newer 133/266mhz CPU's. Unlike the KT133A chipset. The KT133E is more along the lines of a revision to the KT133 to be less expensive, but I have heard it does allow higher FSB speeds than the KT133, just no official support for 133/266mhz FSB.

KT133A supports the 266MHz FSB. KT233E is EXACTLY the same as the old KT133 chipset, the only thing different is it supports ATA100 via the use of the 686B southbridge.
