good day folks,

I am planning in buying a new case in about 2 weeks. Now I am wondering what the difference is between these two cases.

Coolermaster Stacker:

1- 830 evolution
2- 832

is there any gain choosing the 832 over the 830?

I am not interrested in any other case except for these two I have just mentioned.

youll see on the 832, on the front panel there's i think 6 horizontal slits, and on the 830 theres a large piece of mesh. I personally like the 830 better

If you get an early 830 the top fan will not allow the use of large PSU's the newer ones may have the top fan moved forwards as the 832.

So in a nut shell, the only sure difference is the design of the door and without question the top fan is pushed forward enough for 1,000W PSU's.

okay thanks. So with the 830 Evolution, is should have the top 120mm fan at the same exact place as teh 832, whereas the old 830 *non evolution*, has the 120mm fan more towards the psu.
Thanks for the help guys, at least I know which case to buy now, which will be the 830 evolution.

the 832 has the slots and the 830 does have the mesh.

the 832 would allow for top and bottom fans to operate more effiecent than the 830 would due to restrictions due to the size of the mesh.

the 832 also has a mesh screen on both sides rather than one side like the 830 which also means better airflow.

yes the fan has been moved foward to accomidate 1000watt psu's

the price is the same where i looked at so I would consider the 832.

both cases accomidate of to 9 120 mm fans but better venting on the 832 makes it a better choice for the same price.

As I've owned both the 830 and the 832, I can tell you that both of them have mesh on both side panels, not just one as implied above.

The only difference is the slots of the 832 on the door and the mesh on the door of the 830.

Both have the inner side panel that can mount four 120 mm fans and is extreme overkill, that no one I know who own the cases uses.

The front door of the 830 being mesh actually aids in cooling and allows the door to be closed while the computer is in operation without building up heat inside the door.

It goesn without saying that the newer 830's little their bother the 832's have the top fan moved forward to allow for larger power supplies. My original 830 does not allow for this.

I love my 830 & wouldn't mind getting another one at some point...Excellent case...You won't regret it...

On a side note though, be aware the the side panels can be a pain to put back on at times...Other than that, great case...

Update: I've decided to add an 832 to the family...Good times...
