What is the difference between a salvaged title and a rebuilt title with a used car?

i don't know for sure, but i believe the rebuilt was once a salvage that was rebuilt and passed inspection of some sort...but don't quote me on that

Muahahahaha. Evil Grin.

I think they're the same, probably depends on the state as to which kind you get.

Either one renders the vehicle worth 40% of it's value with a normal title.

I don't know probably with either one if you were in a rollover accident the roof would collapse and you would die just the same. Buy a real car.

I have been told that a Salvage Title was for both buyer and sellers protection.

Buyer is alerted to the fact that the vehicle has had damage and been repaired at some point.
(Just so you are aware it has had it's problems, and may have more)

Seller is relieved of any responsibility should these repairs fail, or other complications develop due to the damage or repairs.
(Buyer can't bring it back and say they weren't aware of any potential problems related to the repairs)

With a Salvage Title, it is truly "Buyer Beware", but you can save a bunch of $$, usually.
