What is the difference between a mobile chip and a desktop chip manufactured at the same process?

I know that mobile chips incorporate technology so they can throttle down to lower speeds to save power. But other than that, are there any differences?

I am thinking that mobile chips are simply the high yielding desktop parts.

A 2.4Ghz P4 for the desktop can most likely operate at lower voltages when running 1.8Ghz for a notebook.

Anyone know anything about this I'm just curious?

the packaging is completley different, and the usually run a lower vcore.

they usually have things like SpeedStep[PowerNow!], etc.

ex. a PIII-M isn't a normal S370 tualatin :p

So there are NO differences at the silicon level between the mobile and non mobile chips except for the yield which allows the "mobile" part to run at a lower voltage. That is what I thought.
