What is the difference between a 1993 Mercury Sable Sedan GS and LS?

Honestly, I didn't even think they'd started making the Sable/Taurus that early, I thought maybe 86 was the earliest year.

IIRC there was no sable made in 1983.
1985 or 86 was the first year for the Taurus I think (something like that)... so that means there was also no Sable at that time...

But still... why are you asking? It shouldn't have much of an effect on the value of the vehicle at this point.

Ah. They should be able to figure that out from the VIN.

If you're trying to get a quote for a car you already own, just tell them what you have.

Didn't the GS models have GS on the door or emblazoned in the rubber strip on the door? I know my 1988 Ford Taurus GS did (identical to the Sable).

Did you know that in 1986, the Chevrolet Celebrity was the best selling car in America? (My mom owned one until ~1999). How quickly it fell out of favor...
