I want to upgrade my motherboard and for now it looks like it'll be the "Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ4"

However I looked at the featureset of "Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4" too and besides being about 80$ cheaper I really can't see what the difference is from the two?

Anyone that can link to a review of these two cards competing.

I noticed the DQ4 had QuadBIOS vs. DS4's DualBIOS but that can't be the whole story or can it ?

There is not much difference. Just off the top of my head, the DQ6 probably has a couple
more USB ports and and another pair of SATA ports. The cooling solutions are also different.
The DQ6 does feature a virtual "12-phase" power regulation based on Gigabyte's
standand 6-phase regulation which the DS4 uses. The DS4 gets my vote if I had to
choose since it is much cheaper.

Thank you for clearing that up and the fast reply. Just what I needed to hear.

Edit: I did a little more digging and the DQ6 does infact have 2 more USB port (8 vs 6) and another gigabit ethernet adapter is added too.
