What is the difference between the Yamaha CRW-F1ZE and CRW-F1BEE???

They are both internal, e-ide drives @ 44x24x44x... but i noticed the boxes
have different packaging and the CRW-F1BEE says on box that it is "fine tuned
for business aplications."

Just curious as I could not find any more info on the CRW-F1BEE model.

Thanks!

my guess would be that the software bundle is different, since all internal E-IDE CRW-F1 are identical.

I'm with Lord Evermore here though, where did you find CRW-F1BEE?

I bought the CRW-F1BEE at Office Depot the other day... it is down to $79.99 after rebates...

I looked in the manual that came with the drive but it doesn't show any differences between the two models.

The reason I ask this question is because Yamaha has a separate $20 rebate for the CRW-F1ZE model... and since I don't see any difference, I am wondering if I can get in on the rebate.

Different models mean different UPC codes, and if a rebate applies to a certain model, it's not going to apply to variations of it.

Besides that, most rebates say they can't be combined with any other offers.

It probably is just a "fake" model number, made just so they can sell a "business" product. I managed to find a previous 24x10x40 "business edition" model as well. The software may be different as well (removing tools for "frivolous" home-user things that don't belong in a corporate environment) as andrey suggested, or perhaps a slightly different firmware to be more reliable rather than faster.
