They have to be the worst mice ever. They are supper small, odd shaped for a human hand, and only have 1 button! What is the deal with that! Maybe not all of their mice are like that, but I've used 7 different apple computers and they have all been round with 1 button.

The old hockey puck mice were pretty bad but I have to admit their new optical mice are pretty good.

No one knows what's with the apple mice except Steve Jobber (Jobs).

If I had a Mac (thank god I don't) I'd use a Logitech USB MouseMan Wheel (probably optical), any USB mosue can work, and Logitech makes drivers for it.

As for the 1 button thing, apple's button is the same thing as our left button, if you press&hold the button, or maybe hold a keybaord key while you click (or something like that) you get our right button (popup menu).

Just get a Logitech if you are stuck using a Mac, they are the best mice anyways, PC, Mac or otherwise.

Now...if an MS Natural Keybaord would just work, they'd have some decent input devices...

It does work. My choice for input devices when I have to use a Mac is a NaturalE and an Intellimouse Explorer.

It just seems like their mice would be a sever disadvantage in first person shooters without a scroll thing and a second button.

Its optical mechanism is excellent. It's a lot better than my IntelliMouse Optical, works well even on quite shiny desks. True, that the major shortcoming is the single button and it's still too small but it's a nice mouse overall. Most Mac users don't mind single button, the like simplicity. Personally, I use MS optical Intellimouse with my Mac at work, because I'm so used to them with my PCs at home. The second button and scroll whell work just fine. It makes it easier to switch betwen Mac and PC :)
