I HATE the small phones.

right now i have a Samsung N105 and i hate it. i have already broke one of them. good thing they sent me a replacement.

my T-mobile contract is up in 2 months. Im thinking of going with someone else. Nextal is nice but they dont have a good family plan. the T-Mobile family plan is great. nobody else has one as good and cheap.

just so ya know...selling cell phones...99% of customers that come in want a "small phone"
Ok, just out of curiousity, can I ask why? I fear small phones. Reference the "I tend to break things" notation. Hence why I got the yellow brick. 😀

Most people don't want a brick in their pocket

We use those Motorola phones for RA's and RD's on duty here at my school. Biggest...pain...EVAR. I do admit, however, that they're near impossible to break. (trust me, I've tried)

I have a smaller cell phone (bout to get a smaller one), but it's still about 4 inches long, couple inches wide. Works fine for me.

I hate small cell phones that aren't the flip style because the microphone tends to be far away from the mouth making it harder to talk. I wanna be able to hold my phone in one place while I talk dammit.

Plus guys just look strange using those types of phones. I think it makes their head look out of proportion.

I think it depends how big are you guys... like a white guy around 6 foot+ tall ... certainly he won't use small phones.. but for me a 5'9 asian guy, a small phone is more beneficial 🙂

There's prolly something to that. I'm 6'+ so I prefer a larger phone🙂

Yeah, the lack of external antenna is nice for that reason however I find that it's reception is much more finicky than if it had an external antenna. If you hold the phone a little bit wrong or something minor then the reception goes to hell. Now, for the first few months I had my phone the quality of the call would drop dramatically when this would happen then they upgraded the service in my area and now, even if the reception is low, I can hear okay it just chews up the battery like crazy. I don't get it but I'm not the only one to notice it (my mom has the same phone and so do a few friends).

Anyway, this phone is not durable at all. I use it a decent amount - not a lot but maybe 200-300 minutes a month. It's always in my pocket yet the plastic casing is worn down and smooth (it has no texture like it used to), the End Call button barely works any more (I have to push it a few times for it to work and really PUSH on it), and the on/off button at the top of the phone hardly works too. Not to mention, the battery life has gone down the tubes since I got it (yes, I have used the phone until the battery is so drained the phone does not turn on any more and then charged it - numerous times) and the clock frequently gets fubared.

Ugh, what a POS it has become. It was nice for awhile but now I really dislike the phone.

Can't wait to get a new one this summer before college.

the microphone being farther in a small phone doesn't matter. They have a different type of microphone in them, which is designed to pick up sound from where your mouth is.

Who cares if the microphone isn't right next to your mouth? I have a ear piece with the microphone sticking straight out of it and it even sounds fine.......

If you need a dialing wand you might want to loose some hand weight 😉 I don't see how you can have a hard time dialing. I love small phones, they're easier to slip into a pocket.

Small phones rule, I have a Nokia 6590 and I love that phone. It has an FM tuner so I can listen to the radio at work(we have muzak). I've dropped my phone at least 4 times and all it has is small scratches.

FreAk😀

my only requirement is that I am able to receive my email on my phone for when I'm not at my desk or with a client. Somehow, everyone forgot how to use an alpha pager...just call the number push a button and wait for the lady to give you the go to talk. Unfortunately, it's a PITA to find a dealer who won't try and sell me something with a camera, death ray, mosquito repellant, registered firearm, size of my pinky phone.

i agree fully. I want my phone small enough to fit in my pocket comfortably, but I want an easy to read display, and an easy to use interface. I dont want to pay for internet, i dont want to take crappy pictures, and I dont want to entertain myself on it.
