for my PC? I already have SB DE Live 5.1 and DTT 3500.

1: What do i need to consider before getting a DVD rom?

2: What is the different between PowerDVD and WinDVD? Which is better?

Thanks.

For DVDrom buy whatever you can afford. 1x-16x dvd doesn't matter sinces movies play at 1x. CD read speed will vary and that may be important to you.

On a p90, neither will work. Not even sure if a hardware decoder will be enough in your case.

Both WinDVD and PowerDVD are are quite good and basicly the same, so I would suggest you download the free trial version of each and see which works the best on your system.

Is that some kind of joke? You don't have a hope in hell of running DVD movies with that setup.

my hardware profile is not real, it is just a joke.

Oh OK. Well perhaps if you told us what your actual hardware profile was, we could help you a bit better. :frown:

powerdvd crashed over and over and over under win2k. winDVD has always worked just fine for me, so a vote for that even if you arent using 2k
