Moved into a new home recently...I have Spectrum's 1GB service...The home was a new build and pre-wired with Cat6 in every room and the living room and the home also included a Luxol wireless router and two pre-wired POE cameras (over front and rear doors)...however, the router, cameras and a POE switch were installed about two weeks after the Spectrum service was activated. In the interim, I was using my old Google mesh system and was easily getting close to 1GB speeds (according the Google speed tests and speedtest.net).
So for the first few weeks, everything was fine....about two weeks ago, the network seemed sluggish (alexa was very laggy and browsing on my pc (connected via hardwire) was getting slower and slower). Speedtests dropped down to around 500-600 mbps (don't remember the latency numbers though). None of the router settings were changed. Guessing maybe a firmware update could have been happened.
I swapped out the Luxol router back to Google mesh last night and everything is great again...
I didn't feel like digging through the luxol router options or doing a factory reset...I think I am getting better coverage with the google hardware anyway so I am just gonna stick with it..
