I was reading a Dual Channel white paper and it had the signature of Infineon and Kingston on it.

What is the connection between those companies?

Wow man, that's surprising, join my ventrilo server if you want to talk to CHAOS members 🙂

They could just have made a joint white paper.
It's like Sony, IBM and Toshiba working on the development of the Cell microprocessor. Sometimes it can help to work together.

Doesn't Infineon make RAM chips?

Kingston gets RAM chips from everywhere. One of my rigs has Samsung chips, another one has Kingston-branded chips and the third one has Elpida chips.

I know Kingston has a fairly large investment in one or more RAM chip makers - not sure which ones. Infineon used to be the RAM division of Siemens, I think. They spun it off for some reason.

.bh.

Not sure if Infineon only makes ram chips. I've seen a lot of Dells come with Infineon branded ram.
