No, I'm talking about the Timedemo.

How do you do the timedemo in Q3?

Don't worry about Q2 because I just figured that out. :)

should be

timedemo 1

and then you run your demo such as

demo demo001

That is ok, patchy. :)

I tried the demoloop patch for Q3 and when I typed: demoloop it kept saying it can't find the file. What gives, Patchy? :)

Did you get lost to the chatroom? ;)
Haven't see you in a while.

ah, you're referring to the demoloop thingy from that other thread?
you have to type: exec demoloop
not just demoloop

you sure you named the demoloop.cfg file right?
it might be "demoloop.cfg.txt" if you didn't name it with quotation marks in notepad

I typed in 'cg_drawfps 1' but it didn't show me anything. How can I get it to show fps while im playing? I just barely bought this game today. I've always played UT but decided to give Q3 a try.

did you include the slash ( \ ) ?
you need the slash if you type in commands in the console when you're in a game.
if you're in the menus, you don't need the slash but you should get used to it anyway...

\cg_drawfps 1

Remember, you pull down the console at the main menu screen,
then type in timedemo 1 enter then demo demo001 enter then hit the ~
key to see the FPS. I get 91.5 on my 800 athalon and 58.4 on my PIII
450 both have DDRs in them. as Tom says nothing like RAW POWER!!!

That was it! When I unhide the file .exe..I found "Loop.cfg.txt"

So, I just removed the .txt part. :)
