What is the closest place to snowboard if you live in Memphis , TN ??

I have been to Gattlinburg in Knoxville....it sux, but then again beggars cant be choosers. This is about 6 hours away from me.

Any other places close enough to drive to in under 6 hours ?

There's Hidden Valley in St. Louis, MO also...

but you know what? I'd save a few bucks and look for ANY place out west to go instead.....there are good deals to be had for roundtrip air, lodging, etc.

Not that this is a viable solution, but when Germantown has some pretty damn twisty roads with nice hills. (I was just down there for Thanksgiving) I forgot the exact name of it but it was somewhere off Poplar & 240 (is that the right highway?)

My parents live about half a mile from the place. My mother is in a swim class with the guy who runs the place. I am going skiing there during christmas. I will let you all know how it goes.
