I thought it was called "century new" or something.. or "courier times"..

Trying to add pages by changing font? Most people can see right through that, and by your statement that you wanted it to resemble Times New I'm assuming that Time New was the required font. You will most likely be caught, and I hope the consequences are harsh (I, personally, throw the paper out). Have a little respect for the requirements.

Note: This is all based on assumption. My apologies if I am incorrect, but that is not what it sounds like.

There are a bazillion versions of Times New Roman, many with slightly different weights and spacings. Just try a few different versions.

Oh, and JEDI - Times is a serif face.

If filling more space is your only concern, try courier, if your class doesn't prohibit it's use on papers. It's a monospaced font - a lower case L takes the same width space as a W.
