Is it best to buy a 4"x6" printer and photo paper or take the digital card to a Walmart or use a regular ink jet printer and an above-standard stock paper?

Any suggestions for someone that will print out 300-500 pictures a year?

Walmart, Walgreens, Costco, etc. are your best bet for that amount. I take a lot of pics but don't print that many.

I have a nice Canon photo printer and only use Canon inks and Canon photo paper. The quality is pretty good and much more convenient than going to a store but it certainly more expensive.

Walgreens does it around here for about $.20 per picture. I have a good Canon printer, and I only buy Canon photo paper when it is on sale and I only buy cheap generic inks off the internet, and I come close to that $.20 per picture price. I find it a little more convenient to do it at home than send them to Walgreens, but there really isn't that big of a difference.

I just saw your note about 300-500 pics per year. I print at least that many for my wife's scrapbooking addiction, and this is the cheapest way that I've found to do it. I'll print at least 50 pictures per month.

I wonder if that price is nationwide?

Are you sure that is the 4"x6" photo price?

Buy a bunch of land and plant a bunch of trees. After 30 years or so, harvest the trees and turn them into paper. Sell the land for major profit to a developer and buy a great printer and lots of ink.

It will cost you a good negative TONS of $$$.
