What is the cheapest way to get optical audio out from a Mini?

Sorry for linking to a commercial page, but this is what the adapter looks like: You plug it into the Mac Mini and then have a Toslink out to whatever device you are trying to hook it up to. You will also need a Toslink cable, but those are pretty dang cheap to purchase. I would check out Monoprice to see if they are cheaper.

i use a great usb toslink (only) card for my pc. the same device works flawlessy for the pc. but i'm not sure if it can pass through dts-ma - apple and their anti-blu ray b/s.
