Hi.

I just need it to work with all my other parts.
The mobo I'm replacing is a ASUS P5GD1-VM.

Here's my parts:

P4 3.2 Ghz HT
1 Gig DDR1
ATI X1800XL
300 Gig IDE HD
PCI fire wire card
1 floppy drive
card reader

And it should have atlease a sata port.

So what would you guys recomend?

There's not much left out there that's DDR1, PCIe and socket 775. You can find a few boards, such as the Jetway PT88BSPRO-EC, but I wouldn't waste my money on it. Buy some cheap DDR2 and move to a 965 or P35 board. If you want to keep the board cheaper then that, go with a 945 chipset. Do you ever intend on upgrading the processor?

Yes i do plan on upgrading my CPU. I was planing to get INTELs BAD AXE 2 with a Core 2 Quad but i felt i rather wait and just get a replacment motherboard for my ASUS and later get Intels new processor when it comes out.

What do you think.
