I assume the 805 would be the cheapest dual core 64-Bit LGA775 CPU per Newegg... I'm not up to par with Intel CPU's though since the old Pentium days.

Well then you know the answer, the pentium-d 805, enjoy the slow previous technology flamethrower that your motherboard may not even support. Your are the one that said you weren't up to par, so we were just trying to help you make a sound decision.
