What is the Cheapest Internet available?

Hi guys,

I'm currently paying $50/mo for my basic Comcast Internet. I think it's too much for just an internet@ 15 mbps downstream. Are there any internet providers that offer $20~ 25/mo? I would like something a little faster than 56k dial-up. I am not looking for speed. I am not looking for dial-up internet cause you gotta have home phone line for that and you'll end up paying a lot like $30 or more. Are there any way to have internet cheaper? Heck, if I can get a dialup internet without the phone line (legally) for $15/mo I'll take it. Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on your income level, you may qualify for an ultra low-cost dial-up phone line.
AFAIK, Juno/NetZero still offers free 20 hours/month dial-up internet.
Basic 1.5 Mb DSL internet via your local phone system provider may be another inexpensive (<$20/month) option.

Agree with above comments, however, it really depends on where you live. In many cases, cable bundles are geographically 9non-competitive) available in a metro area. If you have a phone, there are often low cost bundles with it. And, the very cheapest is public wi-fi.
