I would say Win2k if you have it, but 2k and XP are both pretty secure. Keep in mind that if you've got it password protected you'll be fine. The only other thing is network security and with a lappy you can always make sure you unplug the cable....that's about all you need for security. Real security with laptops should be worrying about it getting stolen.
Win2K pretty secure and tried and true. Made for mobile. My army laptop had it and if you don't have the password, you don't go anywhere. Also, does not have IE security holes that XP has.
