What is the best web server software for the home user

I am wanting to run a home based web site. I want to set one up for myself, one for each one of my kids, and one for my wife. There would be a total of five. Right now I am playing with KFWS web server. It will host multiple sites, but was looking for something better. I am using a cable router and a No-IP address for each site.

Anyone using something better?

Apache.

Apache. It isn't as hard to configure on windows as it is on linux. It takes me ~ 10 min to set it up including install time.

When it comes to technology terms like Better, Best, etc. when use in Abstract means Nothing.

1. Would you like to stick with Windows?
2. Would you like to switch to Linux?
3. Would you like to switch to Linux on Top of Windows?
4. Would you like any of the above for free, or much you are willing to pay?
5. Would you like buy real domains, and do real hosting. (About $20 a month)?

KFWS web server is actually one of the best Free servers.

What is that you are looking for that KFWS web server does not have and you would call better?
