Remove a stock fan off of a video card? I tried the credit card/exacto/rubbing alcohol method, and I didn't like it. Any suggestions?

a stock heat sink and fan?

if it is glued on, the usually way is to put it in a freezer for about 15-30 mins and either gently twist or pry off with something that will not scratch your board.
People say canned air works too. If it is push pins, then just push them out, the hs might still be epoxied to the chip.

Then when off use acetone(finger nail polish remover) or goof off, then dry and use alcohol.
I wouldn't scrape the chipset unless I had too. The acetone removes the epoxy with ease.
