What is the best way to remove scratches on a CD/DVD?

I have a Gamecube disc that gives me read errors. I have tried washing it in soap and water, but it still doesn't work. There are a couple scratches on it. Do those disc repair kits with the liquid solution work well?

Try disc doctor. If that doesn't work, I head dead presidents repair them very well.

microwave works for me. put it in for 5 seconds. DO NOT set long that that. good luck.

Why not just bring some sort of pre-wax cleaner, then polishing compound to it?
