What is the best way to protect my video card?

I was just thinking this weekend that I never filled out a warranty card (don't know if you can) for my 9800 Pro. I remember reading about some of the 9800 Pros going bad after 2 months and I have had mine almost that long now. What should I do to insure I can get a replacement if something goes wrong?

I don't think he mentioned anything about what to do from keeping things from going wrong 🙂

Ok, I am not overclocking it and never will. So, say it just goes bad, starts having "rolling lines" or starts overheating, then what? RMA? How long can I RMA to ATI?

Geez, what a worry-wart! 😉

You can still register on-line and get warranty info here.

Looks like 3 years for an ATI 9800 Pro.

1. Dress it warmly when it goes outside
2. Never let it swim till an hour after it's eaten
3. Warn it about the dangers of smoking

Don't try to pry the ramsinks off it.

Remember to clean the dust out of the video fan, this will help reduce the heat and prolong the life of the card.
