1. Bite the top off.
2. Use your fingers to peel the orange.
3. Eat it.
4. ???
5. Profit! :p

you don't....cut it into wedges and eat it...cleanest way to eat an orange.

indeed

if you must peel it, quarter it and "filet" it off the peel

if you want it peeled whole, slice off a little of the top and bottom and carve it from pole to pole

not really. you need a knife, something to put the wedges on and to contain the juices. and the probability of getting juices on your lips/face/hands is high. if you properly peel an orange all th ejuices are contained in neat little pakages that go directly into your mouth. but of course many kinds of oranges are nearly impossible to peel easily and cleanly

Drop it off a four story building into a car with a 2.5" muffler and make sure that it's a V8 running on E85, so that you're able to skin it alive, then the force of the exhaust pressure will send it back up to the fourth floor all skinned and separated into parts on a little saucer.

I use my thumb. I feel that the downside to this method is that my hands smell strongly of citrus for the rest of the day, no matter how many times I wash them.

I slice "caps" off the top and bottom, and cut through the peel and pith kind of like the time zone lines going around the earth. Then I peel off the sectioned peel with my hand.

I pull where the top is and pull that out and peel around the orange and I'm usually able to make one strip all the way around.. I make sure all the white stuff is off aorund the orange. I hate it that way. Once the peel is removed, I can eat it easily and cleanly. I usually gouge the meat with a spoon or a peeler, so they don't work so well for me.

Dig your thumb into it to get some of it up and then just move around the orange and pull of pieces. Then just pull of the individual slices and enjoy. It stupid to just slice it up and chew on the orange, then all you get is some orange juice. You gotta eat the whole thing.
