What is the best way to lose stomach fat?

dxkj

Lifer
I exercise some, but obviously not enough.

6'2 215lbs body fat % is 16.5 according to the scale.

I have very little fat anywhere on my body except my stomach area, it seems to like to settle there. Does anyone here have experience with an exercises that target fat in certain areas, or is it just lose fat in general until its gone?

Thanks

You cannot "spot reduce". Different people lose fat from different areas at different rates. Drop weight and it will eventually go away.

Yeah thats what I figured. Kinda sucks since all of it seems to settle into one place.

I do crunches sometimes, but my lower back isnt the best and usually gets sore/tired before my stomach while doing crunches (and yes i am doing them the right way)

Aerobic exercise, healthy diet.

Doing crunches and not doing aerobic/cardio exercise and not eating properly will just make your stomach bulge out more as the muscle under the fat grows but the fat stays.

There are lots of ways to work your abs without doing crunches. Dig around online, there are some cool ones you can do with a fitness ball that my "I have a bad back." friends really like.

doing sit-ups and/or crunches will not burn fat from your stomach area (but it will make your stomach looks better when you do burn the fat). Fausto1 is right, you cannot "spot burn" fat. You need to reduce your overall body fat and your genetics will determine where the fat is burned from....some people are genetically predisposed to have the fat settle in their gut, others have it settle on their butt, it's sad but true, you can blame your parents for that 😉

You can get just as good of results doing anaerobic exercises.

this gets posted at least once a month.

the bets way to lose it is to shoot yourself in the head, make yourself a corpse and steadily decompose. happy?

the gym with abs exercise,
but you won't see the effect unless you keep doing it for some time,
and I mean more than a couple of months..

Use a big knife....

...but you might want to try numbing with ice or something first...

...and bring a band-aid or two....just in case.

precor is a good machine

i used to have a lot of fat in my stomach but half an hour of precor crosstraining for 4 months got rid of all the stomach fat

no man.

Do either any form of cardio for 40+mins 5x a week or sprint work 5x a week (25m sprints x 7lengths x 5sets is enough) AND really clean up your diet.

Your diet is the main key to having a flat stomach. Add in good cardio or anaerobic work and a good lifting program and you will look good.

Me around 13% bf. With some incline sit ups and weights behind head.

Do some hyperextensions for your back. Lie down on your front and lift your upper body up off. Do 10 and 4 sets, continue until you can do 20r for 4sets. Also you ca lift your legs up. Need to fix your bad back. Should be able to do it.

Doing loads and loads of crunch's is NOT THE KEY AT ALL. But a combination of exercise and a clean diet is. In the end the goal is to lower your bf%. But you get some people who have a low bf% but don't have such good abs. The problem is that they have not developed them.
