at the end of this month i will be leaving Los Angeles :( , I am moving to Houston for 2 months at a temprorary job while I continue looking for other jobs. I will probably just sublet a place in Houston assuming i can find one.

anyways, what do I do about my mail while since I wont have a Los Angeles address and wont have a real address until sept. when I move someplace for good.

right now the only thing i could think of is to send the mail to a friend of mine in Los Angeles and have her send me a box of my mail at the end of the 2 months and then change my address to the new place

That's the easiest and cheapest.

You want "General Delivery" mail. See this USPS link.

Although their regulations seem to state any Post Office will offer General Delivery, from what I've heard you ought to choose a smaller suburb (with a single Zip Code) and use that one.
