I need to move my files to a new computer. What is the best way to move all my outlook mail accts, filters, and old mail? can I do iit in one step instead of backing up all separately?
BTW this is also an upgrade from win ME/outlook 2000 to Win XP Pro/ Outlook2002

You can use the export tool in Outlook to create a .pst file and transfer all your folders to it. I dont think it saves accounts or filters, but does most everything else.

thanks osage, I like free, but it only works with outlook express. Anyone know of other options?

The first option you were given is a good one. Copy your outlook.pst file from the old computer to the new one. The open up your new Outlook and do a File | Import. As stated, you'll need to setup your account information, but all of your folders, contacts, email etc will come in just fine.

PST all the way. Its a nice single file package. It's not necessary to use a third party app to do this with Outlook.
