ok, I have 3 case fans at the moment.
1 on the side panel, 1 at the top of the case, and one at the back of the case. which is the best way to set them up for the best cooling??

I will be getting a 2nd fan for the back of the case, as well as a cpu cooler!!

thanx

it will cool your hard drives a lot better which means more security for your data. only a slight breeze is needed to cool most hard drives.

It's also good to have somewhat net-neutral airflow--meaning equal air in and equal air out. So if you have two-slot graphics cards that blow air directly out of the slot, then you may want at least 2 of those fans pointing in.

Okay, I have a 120mm fan blowing out the back, 1 120mm fan blowing in from the front and of course the Fan on the power supply blowing out.

Should I change the back 120 mm to blow in?

My vid is a 7800GT that has the fan on the card not blowing out the back.

Thanks

do you have a opening for a fan on the side?

Ideal would be in from front, in from side, out from back.

Thats how i see air to move the most freely.

All discussions on this subject are pointless unless you know the CFM ratings of the fans.

Have weaker fans blow in from the front and the side. Have the stronger ones blow out from the back and the top. Everyone else agree? That is if they are all different fans,

You can have a strong one blowing in from the side also =oP

Any case with top and side fan mounts REALLY has a front 1 also. If you're not willing to buy a 4th fan then just put

Front Intake
Back Exhaust
Side Intake

I would make that 4 fans.

1 Front Intake
1 Side Intake
1 Rear Exhaust
1 Top Exhaust

A configuration of 2 weak in and 2 strong out will cause a negative air pressure zone within the case. You'll end up sucking air from any crack or hole which would bypass any air filters you have in order to achieve a pressure equilibrium. The case will turn into a dust magnet.

I prefer positive pressure myself to keep dust out. My P180 has been nearly dust free (aside from maintaining the dust filters) for 1.5 years :)
