best meaning, detects all of the viruses, checks email, not a resource hog, easy to use interface, etc, etc...

You guys are funny... What does a virus have to do with a scanner. I have never had a virus affect my scanner. I once scanned my butt, a week later "I" had a virus. But I got rid of her.

A piece of paper on my desk reads "Ontrack".... not sure what it means ;)

Who said McAfee? McAfee screws up more PC's than it helps IMHO. Take Uninstaller for instance, if you have more than one partition or drive, you don't want to let it clean your registry. Nuts and Bolts: I don't know exactly what it did, but it screwed up so many things on more than One PC that I know of. Check out Window's latest critical updates for WinMe that name almost every McAfee product as causing inability to reboot to windows! I have tried 5 of thier softwares, and 4 out of 5 made things worse and never fixed a single problem. Uninstalling McAfee antivirus left behind dirty "foot prints" as well.

InnoculateIT is my choice for antivirus, unless you got Norton for free.
