Poll missing.

I'm voting for the Elder Scrolls if it's there :p

Video game?
Elder Scrolls.

Fallout has potential yet unrealized.

Best table top universe is Forgotten Realms, but you'd need to own all the source books from 2nd edition, third edition, and 4th edition not to mention all the Dragon magazines before you realized it.
Video games have only explored a tiny fraction of everything.

For me it is always going to be Forgotten Realms. The BG series is largely held as the BEST CRPG. Add in PST and IWD, plus all three NWN (including the AoL game back in the 80s) games and I can't count the number of hundreds of hours I have spent playing in that universe.

I would follow up with Elder Scrolls being probably the most prolific and with Fallout Universe being the most original.

Forgotten Realms, though Planescape: Torment is my favorite computer RPG of all time.

I'd have to change my answer to this. Between the books, the video games, and the desktop games, the Forgotten Realms universe is not only interesting, but comprehensive.

PST isn't in Forgotten Realms.

I'll go with Elder Scrolls although I haven't really gotten into one since Daggerfall. If Fallout counts then that.

I'm a powergamer so I don't really get immersed in RPGs.
So I'd say Myst for atmosphere. Wing Commander for fucking with you. (Wing Commander III hits you with the disemboweling of your girl (told to you by her killer), but if you go after him you're left stranded in space, and if you return to your carrier and feel sorry for yourself [it allows you to brush off your friends and keep drinking] the game sends you out to defend the carrier while drunk [so you can barely control your fighter] and the game strands you with endless waves of fighters.)

Is that anything like being a power top?

I agree on wing commander 3 being awesome, although more on the story line than the universe.

I'd choose the star wars universe but it wasn't created by video games just fleshed out. If not that then definitely Half Life. Not that I would want to spend any time there without a gravity gun and lots of explosives.

No, it means I do this:

That's in NWN2 OC. I hear in MoTB you can get 5d6 enchants and Perfect Two Weapon Fighting...

Fantasy for me means magic, swords etc. That's why I went with Elder Scrolls. I like it slightly more than Forgotten Realms.

Fallout and Warhammer 40k are sci-fi for me, not fantasy.
