I want to get the 7900gto if I can...but I hear that when people aer ocing the ram to gtx speeds, the card dies. Im leaning more to the x1950xt, is it 80nm? I would like to see how high it can clock.

It's simple: if you want a quiet card or have a weak PSU, then get a 7900gto. If you want better performance and features then get a x1950xt. And no, it's not 80nm.

It would probably be faster unless you run at high enough resolutions for the extra RAM to come into play.
