Besides Filet Minion, what is the best type of steak. Like sirloin, new york, etc etc.

I like New York Strip myself, but I know a lot of people swear by Ribeyes for grilling.....:)

As far as being too dry, it's all in the marinade.......:)

Filets still rule though....:)

The world has a love affair with Filet Mignon. So it's tender, big deal. It has no flavor! If you want flavor, get a nice skirt steak.

Is sirloin any good? Sirloin is the usual type I buy to cook over a regular frying pan.

Depends on where you are buying your meat, how you cook it, and what type of steak you like.

Personally I like a good 3/4" or more thick t-bone cooked with a bit of seasoning medium rare to rare...

Porterhouse, New York and Fillet Mignon all wrapped in one. Skirt steak is delicious because of all the FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

Nobody knows what a Delmonico cut is. Not definitely, I'd say. I think ribeye and top sirloin are the 2 contenders.

I prefer Porterhouse steaks ....

Tbone steaks are good, NY Strip steaks are good ...

Can you explain what a Delmonico cut is? I'd like to know. :)

I'll vote for Delmonico and T-Bone as my favorites. Or, if you're cooking for two, just get a big Porterhouse to share.

Rib eye.

The others are great too. Filet mignon is great sauteed in butter. Sear the outside quick, not too hot because of the butter but hot enough, then pour onto the plate. Eat. Repeat as necessary. Darn, I'm hungry.

I have heard that some people here prefer a trouser steak smothered in Hanes.
