Hey guys just wondering if you guys use a short and fat screwdriver or is their some "special" tool out their that can be used to minimize the foul ups and broken socket clips. Thanks and please lmk what you think
I had read somewhere that someone used half a wooden clothespin. I tried that for about 10 minutes and got nowhere. 30 seconds with a flathead screwdriver got the job done. It was the first time I was ever installing a HSF, and I swore I was gonna crack the core, but everything worked the way it's supposed to just be careful.
I used a long flat screwdriver and it only took a minute to install. Some older AMD HSF clips were installed using a nut driver. There are good instructions on AMD's website. It is much more complete than the poster that comes with the cpu.
